Past Events: Datsun Polar Bear Cruise - Jan 21, 2006
by Terry Hintz

We gathered at the New Nissan dealership in Wilsonville, OR

DatsunsNW organized this event for those weary of all the winter rain we have been having. It looked like we were going to get a bit of sun, but the drizzle began before we even left.
A super picture was taken of the folks gathering, but I didn't get a copy of that one.

The Red 350 is Lori K's new ride.

There was a great variety of Datsuns: wagons, trucks, z cars etc.

We took off about 11:45 and headed up I-5.

You can see the Rose Quarter etc in the background here, as well as a great backside of a 90's Z. Who was the owner of this one?

We made a stop just after getting off at 4th Plain, in Vancouver, WA. The lineup was impressive. I think there were 25 cars at this point.

We took at nice route to the parallel and to the west of I-5. We crossed back over I-5 at Ridgefield and headed to Lucia Falls.

The water was flowing pretty good and I think Elena was impressed!

We headed back toward I-5 and had a great lunch (rather on the late side) at the Country Corner in Ridgefield? It was a great break in the winter routine. I'm looking forward to the next one.
